Job Description / Responsibility
  • The Head of HR role in BRAC Bank Limited offers an excellent opportunity to leverage, challenge and excel your experience and skills in a multi-faced and enabling environment. The role demands to build up a broad network in the organization with executives and senior leaders in the business as well as within the support functions. Exposure and visibility are high and the role offers the scope to both contribute to the strategic agenda as well as gaining experience in daily high impact operational decisions.
  • The role will be responsible for ensuring a flawless execution of the yearly HR processes across the Bank. At the same time, the incumbent will play a key role in delivering the strategic people agenda in close alignment with business leaders at all levels in the organization.
  • The role will report to the CEO & Managing Director of the Bank and will be part of our Management team. It will be expected to deliver results through a people-oriented mindset and a strong ability to maneuver the complexity of a corporate setting, and have the ability to create follower-ship at all levels in the organization.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of experienced HR professionals across HR Partnering, Compensation & Benefit, Diversity, Employment Law, Employee Relations, HR Control and Compliance, Recruitment, Learning & Development and HR Operations
  • Develop the capability of the HR team both at the individual and team level
  • Ensure strong delivery of annual operational processes such as performance management, Talent management and strategic workforce planning
  • Provides consultation, guidance, and coaching to business divisions and support functions
  • Ensures consistent interpretation and application of employment policy and practices
  • Delivers services with process improvement mindset to increase effectiveness and efficiency
  • Raise the bar for how efficient HR operational excellence can be achieved in the Bank
  • Drive and deliver HR Projects as per strategic and tactical agenda
  • Stakeholder engagement across the Bank and with external partners such as Bangladesh Bank, Commercial Banks, relevant vendors, BIBM, ABB, NBR, BOI, MOLE, etc.

    At least 12 year(s)

  • Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of corporate experiences
  • Proven track record of leading HR function as Head of HR
  • Hands-on experience in change management and organizational alignment exercise
  • A strong HR operational excellence mindset
  • Experience in managing global standard HR ERP
  • Ability in mentorship and drive team performance & engagement
  • A ‘we’ before ‘I’ attitude
  • A pragmatic self-starter and with a strong focus on action
  • Experience in cross-functional project management
  • A diverse view and understanding of fast paced, high volume environment
  • Experience in managing remote locations highly desirable
  • Financial services experience preferred
  • Skills:
  • Sound knowledge of applicable laws including but not limited to Bangladesh Labour Act, Bank Companies Act, Bangladesh Bank circulars, etc.
  • MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint (Intermediate to Advanced)
